1. Licence from Concern District Prohibition office : 

        Documents to be presented by the applicant at the District Office :-

• Application form in prescribed format with court fee stamp of Rs. 3/-
• Copy of Articles of Association in case of Limited Company and copy of Partnership Deed in case of Partnership Firm.
• Basis of organization registration.
• Copy of Fire-Proof Certificate or Explosives License from Competent Authority.
• Production process including chemical equations and flow sheet diagram, batch size and details related to recovery in case of recovery should also be shown separately.
• If methyl alcohol is to be used for the production of any product, whether the details of the raw materials used in each batch in the chemical process are given along with the proportions?
• Is there necessary machinery and capacity to manufacture the products?
• No Objection Certificate from Gujarat Pollution Control Board.
• Chartered Engineer's Certificate.
• Main points to be followed after approval of license :-
• The license will be valid for a maximum period of two years and for the second year up to the end of the financial year (31st March). Before the expiry of the period, to renew it, an application has to be made in time at the concerned district office in the month of February. Otherwise a penalty fee of one percent of one year's license fee will be charged.

• Once the license is granted, a fee and deposit will have to be paid at the rates mentioned below :-

Notes: Consuming or possessing methyl alcohol without a license is punishable by imprisonment for up to six months and/or fine up to Rs.1000 under Section 66 of the Bombay Narcotics Act, 1949.

2. Fresh/Renewal of M.A. I / M.A. II (Methanol / Ethanol / DNS etc.)

        Documents to be presented by the applicant at the District Office :-

• Application form in prescribed format with court fee stamp of Rs. 3/-
• Copy of Articles of Association in case of Limited Company and copy of Partnership Deed in case of Partnership Firm.
• Basis of organization registration.
• Copy of Fire-Proof Certificate or Explosives License from Competent Authority.

3. M.A. I Licence for acquired, store & use of Methanol.

• Copy of Articles of Association in case of Limited Company and copy of Partnership Deed in case of Partnership Firm.
• Basis of organization registration.
• Copy of Fire-Proof Certificate or Explosives License from Competent Authority.

4. M.A. II Licence for sale of Methanol.

• Basis of organization registration.

7. Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Treatment Engineering Certification

• Concept of ZLD Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is a classification of water treatment processes intended to reduce wastewater efficiently and produce clean water that is suitable for reuse (e.g., irrigation). ZLD systems employ wastewater treatment technologies and desalination to purify and recycle virtually all wastewater received.

14.   INSTALLATION CERTIFICATE

As per customs notification no. 91/2009 dated  11.09.2009 published in the gazette of India , Extraordinary , Part II , Section3, Sub-section ( i) -  that in respect of CAPITAL  GOODS , office equipment and professional equipment , a certificate from jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner of Central Excise or Assistant Commissioner of Central  Excise or an INDEPENDENT  CHARTERED ENGINEER , as the case may be , is produced confirming installation and use of the goods in the importer's factory or premises within 6 (  six )  months from the date of imports or within such extended period as the Deputy /Assistant Commissioner of customs may allow.

Following documents required,

• Import invoice.
• Bill of entry for home consumption.
• Copy of EPCG or SFIS certificate.
• Date of installation of capital goods supported by installation certificate by authorized service engineer wherever applicable.
• Photographs of installed capital goods.
